As a researcher and writer who has been using AI platforms intensively for approximately one and a half years, and who has incorporated Claude actively into my work over the past eight months — most recently as a Pro subscriber — I have three fundamental proposals regarding the Projects feature.
1. The Name: “Clue” Instead of “Project”
Gemini’s “Gem” and ChatGPT’s “GPT” are platform-specific, memorable names fully integrated with their respective brand identities. “Project,” by contrast, is an entirely generic word — used heavily across countless other contexts — and carries no identity unique to the Claude platform. The need to say “Claude Project” just to distinguish it speaks for itself.
Proposal: “Clue” — derived from Claude’s initial C, short, memorable, and platform-specific — deserves serious consideration as a replacement.
2. Public Clues: From a Closed System to an Ecosystem
Projects currently exists as a closed structure available only for personal use. Just as Gems have a public library, Clues should evolve into a shareable, discoverable, and community-driven ecosystem. As long as this feature remains closed, its potential will remain severely limited.
3. Insertable Clues: InClue
This proposal is the Claude equivalent of the architectural vision I previously submitted to Gemini under the name InGem, and to ChatGPT as InGPT. Since neither platform has yet implemented it, I now bring the same proposal to Claude under the name InClue (Insertable Clue).
The core idea: Clues should be callable from within the main conversation window, execute their task, and then withdraw — without the user ever leaving the active chat. This is nothing more than applying the function/subroutine call logic that was solved in software engineering more than seventy years ago to AI platforms. The user never loses context, the conversation is never interrupted, and the task is completed in under a minute.
I am submitting this proposal to all three major platforms separately, because InClue — like InGem and InGPT — is not a feature request for one platform alone. It is a fundamental architectural need for the entire AI ecosystem.
Conclusion
These three proposals may appear independent, but they point to the same underlying goal: transforming Claude from a closed, personal, and passive tool into a shareable, callable, and ecosystem-forming platform. As a user, I look forward to seeing this transformation happen as soon as possible.
