Welcome Google Chrome

Welcome Google Chrome

I haven’t used Internet Explorer or Firefox since installing Google Chrome on my computer two days ago. It didn’t object to any site, I didn’t experience a problematic page. In short, I loved Google Chrome very much. The one currently in use is the beta version.

News about Google Chrome is constantly appearing. It is said that its so-called new features are similar to the features of other browsers. It is claimed that there are security vulnerabilities. Rumors are being made that Google is hiding behind beta for “chrome” just like “gmail”.

As for why I love it: It was installed easily, its appearance is nice, pages open fast, it doesn’t cause problems, it uses the screen most efficiently. I looked for the homepage setting, I couldn’t find it. Images of frequently visited pages appear, one of them happens to be one of those that will be used as a homepage anyway. While looking for what to do to add Google to the toolbar, I realized that there was no need for such a thing; it is enough to open a tab and write what is to be searched in the address bar there. What it finds also opens in that tab.

I will continue to use Google Chrome as long as no virtual accident happens to Google Chrome or me.

It was the nineties when my Internet adventure began. I met Mosaic in 1994. There were those who called the Internet Mosaic back then. I thought Mosaic was a good browser until I met Netscape at the end of the year. Netscape was different and I haven’t used Mosaic since that day. However, that first Netscape had a problem, it wouldn’t open when not connected to the Internet. Netscape was necessary even when not connected to the Internet because back then I used to write web pages in a text editor. I couldn’t be connected to the Internet at that time either, because being online while writing code would be an expensive luxury. Not being able to open Netscape to see how the html codes I wrote would look on the Internet would annoy me. It was then that I started to benefit from the Internet’s blessings and found a small program. When I ran this program, the computer acted as if it was connected to the Internet, so I could open Netscape.

I used Netscape for many years. I installed every new version of it. I didn’t give up on Netscape even after Microsoft released Internet Explorer. Internet Explorer was being installed on the computer with MS Windows. This situation greatly reduced interest in Netscape. When Netscape’s updates ended, I started using Internet Explorer out of necessity.

After meeting Firefox in recent years, I started using both on my computer. On some pages Internet Explorer caused problems, and some pages did not work with Firefox. When there was a problem with one, the other became a nice alternative. Problems were decreasing in every version of Firefox, just as I was saying I would use it all the time, Google Chrome arrived.

When using Firefox, there was a problem logging into the Milliyet Blog, so I was using Internet Explorer. Now I will log into this blog with Google Chrome.

Blognote: I experienced the first problem with Google Chrome during the blog login. So I will continue to use Internet Explorer with Milliyet Blog. (A.T.)
