From time to time, while scrolling through my Facebook feed, I come across certain pieces of writing that make me stop scrolling and feel the need to think deeply about them. Filtered through a strong pen and a solid intellectual background, these writings immediately reveal themselves with the elegance of their expression. You, the addressee of this article, are the owner of exactly this strong pen and depth I am talking about. I am not mentioning your name here, but as you read these lines, you will know very well who this call is for. However, you should also know this: this article, which speaks directly to you, was actually written to be a guiding light for everyone like you who produces valuable work, leaving their words, photographs, or memories at risk of getting lost in the dizzying pace of the digital world.

There is a problem we all suffer from and that needs to be solved: the ruthless and fast-flowing timeline of social media. These valuable texts, which you have penned with so much effort and thought, unfortunately get buried under new posts and instant consumption within a few days, becoming invisible. Yet, your writings truly deserve to be kept in a more organized archive, to reach much wider audiences, and to be passed on to the future as a lasting mark.

That is exactly why I believe it is now time to build your own digital space. You should get a domain name in your own name and open a WordPress-based website, which is extremely practical to manage. Publishing your writings here within a certain discipline will not only keep your productions organized but also save them from the transience of social media. Moreover, you can create a wonderful personal archive by organizing and moving not only your new writings but also your precious past writings that have been left on social media pages.

This page doesn’t have to be a place consisting solely of plain text. I know you take very beautiful photographs; you can enrich your texts with your own visual language by interspersing these photos among your writings. Furthermore, we know that your oratory and speaking skills are also exceptionally strong. You can narrate your writings, prepare podcasts, or publish the videos you shoot on YouTube and add their links directly to this page. Thus, by gathering all those beautiful productions consisting of text, audio, photography, and video in a single center, you will ensure that people are not deprived of these works. Actually, I am talking about designing your own digital media center entirely as a “package”. A compilation I prepared myself can serve as a good example of how this can be done. In this study, where I recount a waterspout event at sea in İnebolu Evrenye, you can see how I “packaged” the original Turkish text I wrote without any artificial intelligence intervention, the English translation I did with AI, and the photos and videos I took documenting that moment on a single page [1].

You don’t have to be limited only to the writings and content you produce yourself, either. You can also keep alive the precious memories inherited from family elders and your circle on this platform. For instance, you can publish old writings left by them, poems on yellowed papers, or nostalgic visuals from the family photo archive that you would be happy to share with everyone. All this cultural and familial heritage, instead of getting lost in the bottomless depths of social media, would be displayed in a much more organized and easily accessible way in this safe harbor bearing your own name.

Now let’s come to the technology dimension of the matter… I know very well that you absolutely do not need the help of any artificial intelligence when structuring your own writings. Your pen and your world of thought are already exceptionally original and self-sufficient. However, you can position AI as a tireless translator that will open your beautiful works to the world. Translating your texts manually into different languages, especially English, requires an incredible amount of time and effort. Yet today, artificial intelligence tools have achieved tremendous success in translation. I touched upon this subject in an article where I explained how I use AI not as a copywriter, but simply as an assistant and translator for my own writings. In that piece, I detailed how technological tools help us compile our ideas more efficiently and overcome language barriers without overshadowing our core creativity [2]. You, too, can use this translation capability of AI to effortlessly present those writings you produce with great mastery in your mother tongue to an international audience.

Actually, I am aware that you already know all this very well. I am penning this article not to teach you things you don’t know, but merely as a friendly step to prompt you into action so that you can put your intellectual accumulation in the showcase it deserves. Spoken words fly away, written words remain; but where and how that writing is preserved is just as important.
