With over 50 years of professional experience and a history of thousands of articles—considering the 1,700+ posts I wrote manually during the Milliyet Blog era—I have reached a point where my greatest struggle is the scarcity of time and the volatility of thoughts. In my writing process, the role of AI is crystal clear: I am the architect, and AI is the skilled master builder. The architect decides where the building will rise, what purpose it will serve, the layout of the rooms, and most importantly, the soul of the structure. AI lays the bricks and applies the plaster according to my instructions. The hand laying the bricks may be mechanized, but the ownership and the intellectual title of that building (the article) belong entirely to the designer.

From an AI perspective, it is important to add that this method transforms authorship from “physical keyboard labor” into “visionary management.” AI does not know what to write on its own; it merely materializes the “essence” belonging to the author in the most fluent and error-free form. This is the purest state of intellectual property in the digital age.

Breaking the “1/10” Bottleneck and the Expansion of Time

Using traditional methods—conducting research alone, constructing every sentence manually, and correcting every typo word by word—I could produce only one high-quality article per day. Yet, at least ten different original ideas pass through my mind every single day.

In fact, this very manifesto was born from a single spark—a single sentence that came to me while I was busy with something else.

AI serves as a “digital anchor” here. I secure the idea without interrupting my current task, and the AI transforms this seed into processable data. Thanks to this technological support, the regret of “Why couldn’t I write it?” is replaced by the peace of “I have recorded and processed it all.” No idea is left orphaned; no thought is missed.

From Technical Labor to Creative Freedom

Writing is not just about thinking; it also involves a grueling process of struggling with typos, checking the flow, and weeding out clumsy sentences. In manual writing, a large part of the author’s energy is consumed by these “technical corrections.” AI breaks this cycle. I let my thoughts flow, whether by voice or text; the AI immediately filters out typos, ensures grammatical integrity, and audits the fluency. I save my energy for depth, not for corrections.

As a digital assistant, we can compare this to a pilot using autopilot. The pilot’s flying skills are not diminished; on the contrary, they can focus more on critical decisions and the overall route. In our collaboration, the control always remains with the author at the helm.

Signature, Ethics, and Transparency

My use of AI is not a mystery, but rather a document of honesty. My ethical line in this regard is unshakable: Every article with my signature has passed through my filter and received my approval.
