Author’s Proposal: The user experience (UX) concepts and naming models presented in this article have been personally proposed by the author to optimize the rhythm of interaction between artificial intelligence and humans.
In our interactions with artificial intelligence models, the most significant missing element to date has been “mutual rhythmic harmony.” As Gemini’s “Thinking” (reasoning) capabilities evolve, the model’s tendency to act either too quickly or to delve too deep can directly impact the user experience. Two new concepts that grant full control to the user—while preventing both system and mental fatigue—offer a solution at this point: Wait4Me and Answer2Me.
1. Input Control: Wait4Me (Wait For Me)
Sometimes, while explaining a topic, we need time to gather our thoughts and choose our words carefully. Especially in voice interactions or live chats, it can be distracting when the AI begins its analysis before we have even finished our sentence.
- Function: When the user clicks this button, it sends the following message to Gemini: “I am still explaining, my thoughts are still in progress; just listen and wait for now.”
- User Profile: Ideal for patient, deep-thinking users who want to convey their subject matter step-by-step.
- Efficiency: It prevents premature or incorrect analysis, thereby avoiding the unnecessary consumption of processing power (GPU/CPU).
2. Output Control: Answer2Me (Answer To Me)
Sometimes the question we ask is very clear and does not require a complex chain of logic. However, Gemini may decide to analyze that question much more deeply and unnecessarily prolong the “Thinking” process.
- Function: When a user senses that the question is simple and the initial findings are sufficient, they click this button. Bu gives Gemini the command: “Stop the analysis here and immediately share the results you have reached so far.”
- User Profile: For impatient users, those seeking quick results, or those who simply need basic information.
- Efficiency: It prevents the AI from consuming resources by “over-thinking” even the simplest questions.
Symmetry in Design and Technical Charisma
In the interface, writing these features as Wait4Me and Answer2Me—using numbers in a concatenated format—has both technical and aesthetic reasons. These iconic abbreviations add a modern feel to the interface while providing the clarity of a “software command.” The fact that both expressions end with “Me” symbolizes that the human is always at the center of control.
Thanks to this structure, the control of speed is left entirely to the user at both the input and output stages:
- Input Control (Wait4Me): The user determines the pace during the input phase.
- Output Control (Answer2Me): The user determines the speed when receiving a response.
Conclusion
These two “smart keys” to be added to the Gemini interface will strengthen the bridge of courtesy and efficiency between us and our digital assistant. This is not just a “stylistic touch”; it is a step toward transforming artificial intelligence into a true companion that adapts to the user’s pace and style.
Etymological and Technical Notes
[1] Regarding Wait4Me: This is a digital reflection of the English phrase “Wait for me.” The number “4” (four) is preferred because it is a homophone of the English preposition “for.” In the software world, such abbreviations (e.g., “P2P” – Peer to Peer) have become a standard to provide speed and simplicity.
[2] Regarding Answer2Me: This is an iconic abbreviation of the English sentence “Answer to me.” The number “2” (two) used here is employed due to its phonetic similarity to the preposition “to,” which indicates direction. In engineering jargon, it is a powerful and compact way to express that the system’s focus is directed squarely at the user.
A Note on Methods and Tools: All observations, ideas, and solution proposals in this study are the author’s own. AI was utilized as an information source for researching and compiling relevant topics strictly based on the author’s inquiries, requests, and directions; additionally, it provided writing assistance during the drafting process. (The research-based compilation and English writing process of this text were supported by AI as a specialized assistant.)
