NAVLIB-NI – The New Constitution of Natural and Artificial Intelligence

Theme: Global Data Sovereignty and the Economic Value of Rare Knowledge
1. Introduction: Data Exhaustion and Model Collapse in AI
As of the mid-2020s, Large Language Models (LLMs) have consumed almost all high-quality open-source data available on the internet (Wikipedia, digital libraries, forums, code repositories). We are now facing a critical risk known as Model Collapse. When AI models are trained on “synthetic” data—data previously generated by other AI models—the quality of information degrades, leading to a form of digital cognitive decline.
The Under-the-Mattress Knowledge Theorem, developed by Aydın Tiryaki, argues that the only way to overcome this crisis is to integrate “rare knowledge”—data that has never been digitized, indexed by search engines, or shared publicly—into the AI ecosystem.
2. Defining “Under-the-Mattress Knowledge”
In economics, “under-the-mattress gold” refers to idle assets that are not part of the financial system but possess high value. The same applies to the world of information:
- Qualified Experience: Field notes and proprietary methods kept by an engineer for 30 years that are not available online.
- Strategic Insights: Methodologies and frameworks developed by an academic or strategist that have remained in the realm of private thought.
- Dark Data: High-quality datasets held by institutions or individuals that have been kept offline due to security or intellectual property concerns.
This information serves as “high-octane fuel” for AI. Unlike the cluttered and polished data found on the internet, this knowledge represents pure Natural Intelligence.
3. Global Geopolitics and Turkey as a “Third Path”
The world is currently divided between two dominant data poles:
- The US Model: Collects data from users for free, processes it, and sells it back to the user.
- The Chinese Model: Centralizes data under state control.
The Aydın Tiryaki Strategy proposes a “Third Path” against this digital colonization. Countries with deep intellectual traditions and rich human capital, such as Turkey, can transition from being technological colonies to “Intelligence Exporters” by integrating the under-the-mattress knowledge of their citizens into the system as “Strategic Capital.” The key is not the “harvesting” of data, but making the user a “shareholder” of that knowledge.
4. Security Architecture: The Black Box and Common Area
The primary obstacle to bringing knowledge out from “under the mattress” is the fear of intellectual property theft. The NAVLIBX system solves this through two technical layers:
A. Common Area: An isolated, temporary workspace established between the user and the AI model, inaccessible to third parties. Data is shared here, processed by the AI, and results are generated. Once the task is complete, the raw data remains the exclusive property of the user.
B. Black Box Encryption: The rare knowledge uploaded by the user is encrypted such that even the AI company’s engineers cannot view it. The data is stored in a format that is “readable” by the processing units (GPU/TPU) but “un-copyable.”
5. Knowledge Valuation Formulation (Plain Text)
To determine the systemic value of knowledge brought from under the mattress, the following dynamic equation is utilized:
Formula: Knowledge_Value = (Data_Originality * Depth_Coefficient) / Internet_Accessibility
- Data Originality: The degree of difference between the provided data and existing online patterns.
- Depth Coefficient: The complexity and the ability of the knowledge to solve unsolved problems.
- Internet Accessibility: If the data is 100% available online, its value approaches zero. If it is entirely unique to the user, its value approaches the maximum.
6. Conclusion: From Idle Information to Active Capital
The essence of Article 1 is this: Human intellect is the master and the energy source of Artificial Intelligence. Building a system that honors under-the-mattress knowledge, grants it ownership rights, and accepts it as “intellectual venture capital” is the only technological future that preserves human dignity. In any scenario where Natural Intelligence does not return to the system, AI is destined to become junk.
Strategic Note: Synthetic Data Poisoning and the Role of the Anatolian Basin Current AI models are behaving like “a snake eating its own tail.” As high-quality internet data is exhausted, models begin to train on flawed data generated by other AI systems (The Synthetic Data Cycle). This leads to “digital cognitive decline.” Under the NAVLIB-NI system, the “under-the-mattress” knowledge—especially from regions like the Anatolian Basin with thousands of years of deep cultural and practical experience—will provide the necessary “fresh blood.” This is not just data entry; it is a rescue operation to prevent “intellectual death” in AI. By protecting this rare data treasury, Turkey can transform into a global “Intelligence Hub.”
A Note on Methods and Tools: All observations, ideas, and solution proposals in this study are the author’s own. AI (Gemini) was utilized as an information source for researching and compiling relevant topics strictly based on the author’s inquiries, requests, and directions; additionally, it provided writing assistance during the drafting process. (The research-based compilation and English writing process of this text were supported by AI as a specialized assistant.)
